About Us

Kayla Dorwart - Certified ISR Master Instructor

Thank you so much for stopping in to learn about ISR and our lifesaving program!

My name is Kayla Dorwart. I’m married to the most wonderful man, Cole, and together we have 4 beautiful children. Our household is never quiet and is always in motion! I love cheering my kids on at their numerous activities, and I especially love getting out and exploring with them on camping trips. When I get a little “me” time, I enjoy tending to our small flock of chickens, taking on small DIY projects, baking, reading.

I have been a certified ISR Instructor since 2014 and a Master Instructor since 2019. I have taught hundreds of children in Montana, North Dakota, and Colorado and believe I have one of the best jobs in the world! I get to help little ones take on big challenges and watch their confidence bloom as they master new skills. Skills many people don’t realize their children are capable of. The best part though, is teaching them skills I hope they never need to use in an emergency, but knowing that that they can save themselves if they need to.

I chose ISR because there were no other programs in my area that focused so heavily on the safety of my child or that could give my son survival skills before he could even walk. Drowning was a huge concern for me and often kept me up at night because my parents had a pool in their back yard. I always feared he would find a way into the water without me. So when my son was just 6 months old, we moved to Arizona for 6 weeks and we both learned the ISR survival methods. It was one of the best decisions my husband and I have ever made for our family.

Now, I am so honored to have so many families trust me with their little ones and so proud and honored to be able to offer such a great program to so many families here in Colorado. I look forward to visiting with you and working with your little ones.

Is your swim instructor a Certified ISR Instructor?

  • Complete the Daily BUDS Discussion form with you prior to each lesson
